Jonah’s parents are ken and amy. his sister, chloe, is a sixth grader at erms. jonah attended crestwood elementary. jonah is the vice president of erms student council, and participates with national junior honor society, leo club, and plays trombone in the band, which is his favorite class. Ethan roman (6th grade) is the son of sherry william and robert roman and is part of the community and service magnet. ethan has a brother and sister: jerahmi and ashleigh. the family pets include dogs: daisy and duke, a cat named chloe and a rabbit named hailey. ethan attended lakes elementary school prior to coming to erms. By beth altena. they learn about everything with a nature in mind. the east rockford middle school (erms) earthkeepers magnet includes sixth and seventh grade students who, between them, not only cover the different areas of traditional curriculum with nature themed studies, but are also literally changing the landscape around them. His siblings are eighth grade student, daniel, and third grade student, matthew. andrew attended cannonsburg elementary. his family will be moving to switzerland this summer, but he is planning to return as a senior and graduate from rockford high school. andrew participates in track, cross country, and swim for erms. In 1966, mick started teaching the sixth grade for rockford public schools and retired after 40 years. during his teaching career, mick was very proud to be of assistance in developing the sixth grade camp program. he was a well respected teacher by his co workers and students. as his grandson alex said, “he was an old man stuck in a 6th.
